Happy New Year, Happy New Decade!

I can still recall the excitement I felt at the turn of this century. CNN featured a special, New Years Around The World, and we were glued to our television set, watching the amazing, once-in-a-lifetime spectacle of the birth of a new millennium being celebrated from Sydney Australia to Moscow, to Beijing to New York.

Aside from the fears of Y2K and the ever present doomsayers, for the most part hope for the future shimmered like an ethereal aura everywhere. We lost some of that the next year, when terrorism came to North America. But I'd like to think that each New Year's Day brings us a fresh delivery of hope and optimism.

I'd especially like to think this is so at the dawn of a new decade. If you want it to be so, each New Year can be a fresh beginning. Oh yes, we all make and then break our New Year's resolutions. We've all got miles on us and sometimes feel as if nothing is ever going to get better. But we don't have to be like that.

Our challenges won't dissipate suddenly if we take a fresh breath, and decide that this is, indeed, a fresh start. They won't magically disappear but they will lose some of their power over us. If we will it to be so, then our fresh beginning now at the dawn of this new decade will infuse us with energy, optimism, and hope.

I've made myself a set of goals for this coming year; I've also taken a few moments to envision where I want to be in five years, and ten. I may not achieve all I dream of achieving for myself. But at least, in the interim, I am someone going somewhere.

My first two novels out this year will be sequels, of a sort. Brazen Seduction revisits Jordan, Marcus and Chastity and their club, Reckless Abandon, while giving us a new set of heroes and a heroine in Richard and Alan, two long time partners, and Molly, the young woman who puts herself on the line with a brazen seduction to win the men's hearts.

The Beauty is the long awaited third instalment of The Song of The Sirens series. Alba Morel is a government "trouble shooter" and Patrick Jamieson the man who loved and then left her two years before. But fate wasn't finished with these two, and whether or not Patrick can accept the woman Alba has become and keep her safe will determine the end of an ages old curse.

I hope you'll continue to read and enjoy my labours of love, and I wish you all great joy and happiness in the coming year.

Love,
Morgan
